Whispers of Winter by the Lakeside

Finally, the weather has cooled down enough for autumn camping. This time, I stayed for two nights at a campground near Lake Inawashiro in Fukushima. I have a driver's license, but since I haven't driven in a long time, I traveled using public transportation and on foot with my heavy backpack and cooler.

Recently, I felt overwhelmed and tired from all the information, so I decided to stay off social media for these three days. This helped me focus on the things right in front of me, and I felt more relaxed.

The sun set on the horizon. I cooked simple meals, warmed myself by the bonfire, and went to sleep when I felt tired. As I immersed myself in the flowing time surrounded by nature, I realized that living is a series of simple moments, each with its own depth.

Before going to sleep, I went to the bathroom, and on my way back, I looked up at the sky to find a stunning view of stars. After turning off all the lights and spending a little time gazing at the sky, I saw a shooting star disappear into the darkness.

I woke up with the sunrise. As I sat there dozing, gazing at the cinders of the bonfire, a flock of swans flew overhead. Their calls silently announced that winter was just around the corner.
