The Persian buttercup that I bought a few days ago. Flowers brightened up the atmosphere of the hotel room.
That week, I took a half-day off on Wednesday and Friday. After work on Wednesday, I visited Goryokaku Tower.
After seeing the night view of Goryokaku, I visited the Yachigashira hot spring by tram. My shoulders were stiff as boards, so I needed to be soaked in the big bathtub.
The spa admission was very affordable, and many local people visited here. My shoulders felt light when I woke up next morning. It is really important to warm the body.
On my way to the hot spring, I found the building filled with light, and it was the cafe. I stopped by the cafe after leaving the hot spring.
I heard classical music and the sound of the second hand on a clock. The room was filled in silence and a cozy atmosphere, and I took the book by Osada Hiroshi from the shelf.
Memory doesn't belong to the past. It's not the thing that has passed, but that which hasn't passed. Memory is something that remains. It remains within yourself and becomes the soil for growing into the person you are now. (Osada Hiroshi "Subete Kimi Ni Ateta Tegami")
Before, I was afraid of forgetting. If I forget something, I felt like the thing or person disappeared.
I talked about it to my boyfriend at the time, and he told me "The Chinese character of forgetting (忘) consists of that the mind (心) dying (亡). If you forget the things or people, and can't remember them, they still exist in your mind."
The story came to mind when I read the book.
The next day, I visited the co-working office in Daisanzaka Building. The building was built in the Taisho era, and after the renovation, it's used as the commercial facility. Privately owned shops such as a cafe and a hotel, are in the building.
The antique interiors and dried flowers were in harmony with the old building. I was lucky to be able to work in such a historical building.
I went to the bar that the owner of the shared office told me. I had a conversation with other visitors, and really enjoyed that night.
On Friday, I finished the work early and had an early Christmas night. I prepared appetizers and watched movies. People often say they miss people in winter, but I also like the way to spend alone and treat myself on Christmas.
The thing I wanted to do when I became an adult was eat a whole cake by myself.
With many people's support, the year comes to the end. I want to travel to many places to broaden my horizons in the next year too.
